Merry Christmas & a HAPPY, BLESSED New Year!

Ahhh Christmas!

It goes by so quickly. Dave said to me on the 26th, "Do you wish you enjoyed Christmas more?" I have to agree with him. The day comes and goes with complete anarchy and madness. However, as a family we truly enjoy the Holiday.

A little different this year with our teeny Emersyn joining us. A WONDERFUL "different". All though she didn't do a whole lot but enjoy the extra's cuddles and long time snoozes in someones arm, she made Christmas that much more special.

We officially kicked off our Christmas celebreations on December 18th at Oma's house (Dave's Mom) with his Sister, Auntie Alyssa. We enjoyed yummy food as always. A meat fondue. Yum! Had some wine, opened some gifts and carried on home!

Christmas Eve Dave and I have decided to always buy the girls 1 gift they can open! NEW PJ'S! Wooohoo!!! Journee quite liked her new fuzzy jammies and Emersyn, she was a sport and just went along with it!

After that...haha! We opened some gifts...
(Daddy took all the pictures and Emersyn was still asleep. We will get to them!

 

   

Now, off to my Mom & Dad's for Gifts and breakfast!...

Finally, after gifts, breakfast and a nap we headed to our house where we drank, ate, and laughed and unfortuantely had no time for pictures.
On the menu was...

• Brussel Sprouts
• Cauliflower
• Wine
• Perogies
• Beer
• Dinner Rolls
• Beer, wine, whisky
• Turkey Gravy
• Pumpkin Pie, Peacan Pie, Blackforest Cake.

There wasn't really that much drinking...but we all had a great time ;)

Shots...

Emersyn was 2months old on December 16th!

With a 2 month Birthday comes 3 needles. Yuck! She did very well (better then Mommy). Calmed down quickly and only developed a slight fever that evening. Nothing a little Tylenol couldn't fix.

Our chunky monkey weighed in at 10lb 9oz and is now 22.5" long.

She sits in the 50th percentile...even if she didnt...she's perfect to us! <3




Here is a picture of her shortly after in her carseat. Pain is exhausting...

(On a side note. The terrible thing about smart phones with a decent camera on them is that ALL pictures and videos are captured on them. Gone are the days of a hand held digital camera...It bums me out a bit)

Emersyn got her ears pierced yesterday!

We did Journee's at 2months as well and didn't and don't regret it.

Bright eyes...

...at almost 2 months old!

It's crazy isn't it? Emersyn is approaching her 2nd month of being here!

She is having more awake time. Coo'ing, gurgling...the works. We're even getting the odd smile!

They say when your baby starts to smile it's almost paying you back for all the sleepless nights, diaper changes, puke and all the other "baby" things we have endured in the last (almost) 8weeks.

I definitely agree.

 Exhausted after all that "awake" time...

1, perogy, 2 perogy, 3 perogy, 4!

On Tuesday Journee, Myself, My mom, and Elyssa made 250 cheese, potato, onion, and bacon perogies.

Here's what we've done so far this week...

Slept, A LOT

Learned to sit on the couch!

Made Christmas shortbread chocolate chip cookies for the neighbours!

Splish Splash!

Journee had her 2nd Saturday at swimming lessons with Daddy this past weekend. She LOVES it!
I have some pictures, which I would like to say were a task and a half to take.
There is a viewing room to watch the swimmers with extremely narrow seating and of course the seating was full when I got up there.
Everyone looked at the Mom, with the newborn in the car seat crying and looked away. So here I stood in the corner, nursing my baby in one arm and taking pictures in the other.
I was able to snap a few sweet shots.

There is going to be a post LOADED with video's once I download them all onto my desk top rather than this super crappy lap top.

2011 Kids Christmas Party!

Every year, since Journee I host a kids Christmas party! I LOVE hosting almost anything but truly enjoy hosting this...1-For my girls and the memories it makes 2-Because, well, who doesn't love celebrating this time of year!
