Project: Patio
The last few weeks I have been a bit MIA. Just about 2 weeks ago now, we layed sod. It has taken so nicely and is a nice rich, dark green. We also bough some Junipers to place along that not-so-attractive green electrical box out front...Which still need to be planted!
However, our most daunting task this summer-so far has been our concrete patio.
ALMOST.THERE.CAN.SEE.LIGHT.AT.END.OF.TUNNEL.
Dave has done such a phenomenal job at keeping positive and working oh.so.hard! Its deifnitely a challenge to help Dave as well as watch both girls and have everyone stay happy all at the same time.
Anyways, Were in the final stages. Dave and my dad, as we speak are out back laying the rebar and thats all folks. The rest is left to our concrete finisher who will come today, confirm everything looks good and book the pour one day this week (weather permitting. PLEASE WEATHER!).

1-2-THREE!!!
Happy Birthday (tomorrow) to my biggest, most beautiful baby!
Thats right, 3 years since Journee made her entrance into this world and what an amazing 3 years it has been. Journee packs such personality and enthusiasm in everything she does. She is so full of life and fun spirited and not to mention, an uber smart girl in general.
Dave and I decided to buy Journee one of the "bigger" items on her wish list. "A pink bike with a pink helmet and a bell" (Her words not mine) and so we did. She's been cruising on her bike for 2 and a half weeks now and is actually, really good. By day 2 she understood what it was to peddle and get moving, to watch where she is going and the odd time, even apply breaks! (Smart, I know hehe).
This past Saturday was her Birthday party, SO FUN! She had 6 little friends and our families. Balloons, cake, prezzies and a really great day!
Tomorrow, on her Birthday she has requested the Science Centre in the morning. Since she shares her Birthday with my Mom (how awesome) we will have dinner out tomorrow and return back to our place with everyone for a crave-o-licious cake...HECK YES!
Having Journee turn 3 has been such a pleasure. We look forward to watching her evolve into the amazing person she is becoming.
Here are some pictures of her Bike shopping adventure and her party...Enjoy, we did :)

PARTY! |
Easter!
B-U-S-Y spells our last few weeks.
Both the Girls developed upper respiratory colds the Thursday before Easter which made Easter super tough and all around left the house a little "low". As Journee got better, Emersyn got worse and as Emersyn got better Mommy got worse. Dave was able to avoid this bug all together...Thankfully. It's always nice to have one parent that can hold down the fort.
We spent Good Friday with a fevering Journee with some tummy issues as well. This left us 2 options. 1-Opt out of dinner at Oma's as a whole or 2. Mommy and Emersyn go to Oma's for dinner while Daddy and Journee snuggle at home and rest. We, decided that Emersyn and I would go to Oma's for dinner. So glad we did!
Here are some Easter pics...(Better late then never)
